Liars: No. 1 Against The Rush (Revisited)

"No. 1 Against The Rush" is Liars' new enticement for their upcoming album, WIXIW, which will be out June 5th.  What the song demonstrates is the band's somewhat expected, or at least "understood," progression from No Wave-influeneced to New Wave-influenced, their one time atonality and dissonant strangeness working slowly towards a more electronic-based, post-punk and synthesized dynamic.  Liars still possesses an experimental and eerie grit, though, and I'm very excited to hear the full extent of what the single merely suggests.

Sincerely,
Letters From A Tapehead
