What I Heard This Morning: Carta

There are a million and one songs suitable for a rainy day. Here’s another one.

Sort of an obscure band, (their drummer apparently plays with Howlin’ Rain), Carta’s “Building Bridges” is understated and minimal, though truly engaging. It eventually builds from mid-tempo gloom into a mild storm of percussion that some would call “rewarding” in a melancholy way.

Their album, An Index of Birds, is out on Silber Records.

”Building Bridges”

Sincerely,
Letters From A Tapehead
